A Method for Text-mining of Farsi-based Websites

Abstracts:
Iranians place a high value on Farsi. Farsi is inseparably intertwined with Persian culture and civilization as well as being the official language in Iran. It serves as a tool for exchanging ideas and thoughts within Iran. However, Farsi had not been as successful within the digital realm known as the Web. It needs to transform itself from a language suited for poetry and mysticism to the one geared for electronic scientific exchange. The present paper discusses the various issues, and solutions, pertaining to Farsi script and onologies. (4 diagrams, 2 tables, 26 references)
